Last Friday I found a pretty funny Youtube clip (courtesy of the supreme bloggadocious Best Week Ever.com...) of the hella-old Legend of Zelda Cartoon (which aired 13 episodes waaaaay back in 1989) BWE blog dubbed the cartoon with the "per capita, the most overused catchphrase in the history of television." (clink linkto see the video)My friend Shaugn recently caught wind of the Zelda link and today passed on another old-school cartoon montage (10 minutes to boot) of the old USANetworks Cartoon-based-on-a-video-game "Street Fighter"
It turned out to be one of the FUNNIEST montages of just rediculous Japanese non-sequitors....just a prime example of the cracked out shit that happens in Anime cartoons.
If you start to get tired a few minutes in cuz you dont get it, or find the 10 minute length too daunting...just go in knowing that these are quick non-sequiters edited together....at LEAST promise me to watch to the 3:30 mark, where my favorite scene had me LOL'ellin like a
the sheer amount of rediculousness in this clip boggles my mind....human men actually sat down and took the time to draw, script and voice this.........and human children probably could give two shits. precisely two.
the sheer joy of the Street Fighter clip made me hunger to see one of the classic cartoon bits from Kevin Smiths short-lived "Clerks: The Cartoon" which at the end of an episode goes on a genius 2-minute plunge into japanese anime chaos....
seeing it gain makes every random Street Figher moment even sweeter.....
